“From a steep, five-acre site above Corralitos in the Santa Cruz Mountains and vinified with 20% whole cluster, the 2025 Pinot Noir was aged 10 months in 15% new French oak. It has outstanding aromatics of framboise and assorted red fruits, forest herbs, flowers, and juniper on the nose. It's medium-bodied on the palate, round, supple, and nicely textured, with a layered mouthfeel and a great finish. It's beautifully done and a joy to drink today. Hand picked September 22nd before two inches of rain hit the hillsides, I wild fermented in open top bins with 1/3 whole clusters. Natural malolactic fermentation occurred in seven French Oak barrels. Raspberry, cherry, pennyroyal mint, blood orange, and red cola spice. Alcohol 13%, unfined/filtered, with minimal sulfites. 172 cases bottled on June 3rd, 2026.
