Monstant, Spain

Destemmed grapes are gently pressed, fermented in 5,000-litre truncated cone-shaped stainless steel deposits, with frequent pump-overs and punch-downs. Finally, Maria Ganxa 2019 underwent malolactic fermentation and was aged for about 3 months on its lees. This is a fresh and versatile red wine from Montsant with Gamay-like qualities of dried herbs, expressive fruit, flowers, and soft tannins.  A wine that is both crushable and complex.
