It must be the magic of the neighboring Clements Hills Rodeo, because time and again this vineyard makes us want to jump for joy. While it's not lacking in structure/texture/gravitas, this medium bodied old vine red blend has all the joys of gas station candy as well. Mostly zinfandel with a hefty helping of Mission, Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and a few other California classics. Grapes were 2/3 destemmed aupon arrival at winery, and 1/3 was left whole cluster. Tastes kinda like Watermelon jolly rancher, Santa Rosa Plum, and spicy California chaparral. 2022 was an incredible vintage for this wine and is all things juicy and peppery.
