With the aroma of white flowers, peaches, the ocean, linen & flavors of tropical fruit, almond paste, peach cobbler and the end of summer

Picpoul (40%), Chenin Blanc (40%), and Petit Manseng (20%) from Saureel Vineyard in the 'Gold Hill' district of Placerville, Sierra Foothills. The vineyard is planted at 1650' elevation on decomposed granite soils, and is farmed organically. The fruit was harvested (by Frenchtown) in 3 passes, direct-pressed and fermented in stainless before aging for 10 months in stainless and neutral French oak.

Aaron and Cara Mockrish have been farming grapes and raising wines in the North Yuba AVA since 2015, which includes the tiny Gold Rush village of Frenchtown that they call home.

They tend both old, own-rooted and dry farmed vines nearby, as well as the new vines they've established on the steep, rocky slopes of their home vineyard.

North Yuba is one of California's most obscure AVA, comprised of the communities of Frenchtown, Oregon House, and Dobbins, located about 90 minutes northeast of Sacramento.

Frenchtown is located on steeply-sloped, rocky, and remote mountain terrain with vineyards at altitudes ranging from 1600-2300 ft. They experience warm days that bake the granite slopes and cold, windy nights that create powerful, tannic, acid-driven wines.
