Field Blend 2023 Arribas Wine 'Saroto Branco'
Saroto is a local term used to designate an animal with its tail cut off. The lizard on the label symbolizes the capacity of regeneration and represents the winemaker’s desire to recover and preserve a rich and diverse heritage that otherwise would be lost. Arribas Wine Company was founded in 2017, in Bemposta, Mogadouro. They aim to produce authentic wines based on regional varieties, old vineyards, traditional techniques, and a degree of innovation. Thus, strive to farm their vineyards as sustainably and respectfully as possible and make their wines in a minimalistic way. This vineyard expression is an old-vine field blend containing the likes of Verdelho, Malvasia, Posto Branco, and Bastardo Branco, all 70-90-year-old vines. Barrel fermented with naturally occurring yeast for seven months and very hands-off winemaking. Orange color with an intense aroma, it is a textured wine full of complexity and nuances, its natural acidity makes it very balanced in the mouth. A very gastronomic white.
